Taka Is Under The Care Of A Hospital And There Especially A Veterinarian Has Been In Charge Of Filling Each Of His Days With Love

A devastating fire that started in Taka’s home at the age of 8 nearly took his life. His family was unable to save him since he was trapped within a covered porch. Taka, thankfully, was able to get away on his own and run down the street until a neighbor helped him and drove him to Care More Animal Hospital in Martinez, Georgia, where a vet has shown him a lot of affection.

The hospital’s veterinarian, Emily Martin, said to The Dodo:

He had burns on his tummy, ears, mouth, eyes, and lips. We originally worried about burns and inhalation because we didn’t really know how bad her injuries were.

After a few days, Taka made his way back to the Care More Animal Hospital, where everyone pitched in to assist him out, especially the vet Emily, with whom he had grown particularly close.

“I strive to treat all of my patients the same way, but his circumstance made me feel a bit more compassion. He was wailing in anguish as he entered. But as soon as I got down next to him and began singing to him, he stopped screaming.”

After reaching out to Taka’s family, they chose to give him to her, and since since, Emily has taken on the role of his mother. Since the hospital isn’t open 24/7, Emily had to bring Taka home to sleep.

We were both worn out the next day since I spent the entire night with him at my place.

The next day, Taka’s cage at the hospital was photographed when this incredible vet crept inside to join him for a snooze. Despite everything he has gone through, Taka is a very nice little dog, and the hospital team is optimistic about his recovery.

“Despite going through such a horrible and unpleasant experience, he persists. It’s incredibly difficult. He’s not quite out of the woods since he’s in a lot of pain, but we have faith that he will recover. He’s a little bit of a pig since he loves food and belly rubs. He also enjoys cuddling.
