Woman Opens A Hospice For Abandoned Dogs To Care For Them In Their Last Days

One of the most difficult situations in life is having to say our final goodbyes to our pets, and being with them till the end is one of the final ways we can show our appreciation for all the love they have given us. Sadly, despite the years that have passed by their side, many people end up leaving them to their destiny.

In order to ensure that they receive the care they require in their dying days, this retired nurse decided to establish a hospice for dogs.

Puppies who have been abandoned because they are too young or too ill are held at The Gray Muzzle Canine Hospice, founded by Nicola Coyle. From her home in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, England, she manages this hospice.

The dogs may have steak and ice cream at Gray Muzzle Canine Hospice. According to Bored Panda, Nicola even takes them out to other locations, including McDonald’s.

The former nurse stated in a Metro interview:

We are concentrating on end-of-life care since we only admit them if the veterinarian certifies that they are younger than six months. The longest and shortest I can recall are both probably around a year.

Nicola ensures that each of the pups she saves has a birthday celebration, taking them to the beach or a nice restaurant to celebrate even if she is unsure of their actual birthdays.

The woman spends around £500 on each of the dogs she takes care of.
