Man Sees Injured Bald Eagle Caught In Traffic And Saves His Life

On the highway, Lancaster, Pennsylvania resident Dandon Miller was riding his motorbike when the traffic in front of him abruptly halted. Everyone came to a stop because a large bird in the middle of the road was wounded and unable to fly.

Dandon, an animal lover, decided to stop over and lend a hand after realizing he had to act. The big bird, he saw, was a bald eagle.

“When I looked down to see what was causing everyone to halt, I saw a bald eagle standing in the center of the road. There was another person, and they gave her a little shove to see whether she would go off the road or take off in the air. She stretched her wings and remained still.

Even though the enormous beast was unable to fly due to its wounds, Dandon decided to take off his favorite T-shirt and toss it at the woman. The eagle calmly put the cloth over her, surprising her.

Red and black t-shirts are Dandon’s preferred attire. Even though he has owned the shirt for eight years and regularly wears it, he never imagined that it might one day be helpful in saving a life.

Dandon secured the eagle in a cloth before removing it from traffic. He next dialed 911 before contacting a nearby facility for bird rehabilitation known as Tri-State Bird Rescue and Research.

As rescuers came, he held the 15-pound bird for 45 minutes. But it seemed like time was flying by.

Dandon declared:

“When I was holding her, I wasn’t really considering that. I wasn’t planning on leaving her at all; I was simply trying to keep her quiet and reassure her that she is secure. It was incredible to handle the bird and see her so at ease. Just incredible “.

The rescue facility declared that the bird might be returned to its native environment after a few days of therapy.

According to Action News, Tri-State Bird Rescue and Research:

On one wing and one of the bird’s legs, there are lesions. He has a little eye damage as well. He has no fractures. She is receiving painkillers and antibiotics for her condition. Additionally, he is getting subcutaneous fluids. She’s eating by herself. His release prognosis is cautiously positive, but it will depend on how his wing injury recovers.
