So He Won’t Forget Me, Here’s A Toy”: Boy Leaves His Helpless Puppy At A Shelter So His Father Can’t Beat It

Unfortunately, the world is not always a happy place. It’s sometimes necessary to make difficult decisions, even if they crush your heart. This 12-year-old boy had to construct one just like it a few days earlier.

On February 13th, a shelter called Xollin discovered a lovely puppy with a message from a boy on their doorstep. “Someone left this dog at the shelter’s door, inside a box, with a plush toy and a note,” the shelter wrote on Facebook. The note was written by a child, who said that his father was constantly abusing the dog and planned to sell him. As a result, he left the dog here to save him in his despair.”

The shelter’s first concern was to examine the puppy’s health.

“We need to take the dog to the clinic to have his tail examined, as it appears to be broken. We also need to get rid of parasites and have him checked up. This will result in additional costs and work for us, but the dog will be safe.”

“My name is Andrés, and I am 12 years old,” the letter begins. My mother and I have decided to entrust him to you. All of this is happening behind my father’s back since he was considering selling him. He, on the other hand, is constantly kicking and beating the dog. He once kicked him so hard that he hurt his small tail. I’m hoping you’ll be able to assist him and look after him. So he doesn’t forget about me, here’s a cuddly toy.”

Rene was the dog’s name at the shelter. They’re seeking for the proper home for the dog, and they have a lot of options because they’ve received over 300 messages from people interested in adopting this adorable puppy.

The shelter also expressed their want for more people to adopt animals in general, not only when they go viral. There are millions of abused animals in the world who are in desperate need of affection and a loving household.

“All of our animals in the shelter would have been adopted twice if you all opened your hearts and homes to everyone, not just one dog. Thanks to the few persons who came to the shelter to offer their assistance in protecting other animals in our district and adjacent areas that were being abused or abandoned.”
