Nobody Wanted This Pit Bull, But The Police Decided To Give Him A Forever Home And A Job

Several potential adopters turned down the pit bull named Apollo for more than a year before a new and unusual forever home materialized and began providing Apollo with the love and employment he so richly deserves. Apollo was taken to an animal shelter to begin his protracted search for a family after being found abandoned in Washington state.

He observed how other dogs nearby were adopted, but he was unaware that his time was limited, that he was viewed negatively, and that he was even on the verge of being put to death.V

A miracle prevented his euthanasia; the shelter got in touch with a K-9 police dog trainer and he became an excellent prospect, so they chose to adopt him.

Apollo was passed over for selection as a K-9 over the course of the following year before the Tukwila Police Department realized his potential.

The division reported:

Because he was a pit bull, which frequently receives a bad reputation due to misconceptions and inadequate training, no one would give him a chance. We’re so happy we decided to give Apollo that chance. In November of last year, Apollo completed his studies in narcotics, and sure enough, he took first place in his class.

Apollo had at last discovered his community—his own working family.

He has been a great source of happiness for everyone in the department and a highly effective worker. He is now a member of the Tukwila Police family and staff.

Pit bulls are not violent, aggressive, or mean; in fact, there are many more dogs just like him waiting in shelters for someone to give them a second chance at life and who are ready to bring love and joy to your families.
