They Planned To Give Away Their Dog But Then It Bites The Mother’s Hand And Saves Her Life

Patch was taken in as a puppy by Nola and Richard Davis of Vancouver, Washington. When they first met him in his parents’ automobile, Andrew and Clara were overjoyed and have been in love with him ever since. Patch was a joyful and energetic dog who rapidly adapted to his new home, but there was one thing he didn’t like: water or having baths. The brave dog once bit his human mother’s hand and overcame his fear of the water in order to save her life.

Added Andrew

“We offered him showers in the bathtub or the bathroom, but he didn’t enjoy the water or going in there.”

Says Nola

As Patch grew older, we came to the realization that perhaps we had made a mistake since the house was too tiny for such a large dog.

Andrew also said

We didn’t have a large yard, and Patch had nowhere to remain.

The Davis family resided in a very modest home with an inadequate yard for a huge dog. Therefore, they were thinking of adopting their puppy.

As a result, they got into a fight as a family and decided that Patch had to go.

The entire family struggled with the choice, but Andrew struggled the most since he did not want to lose his closest buddy. He assured his parents that he would do all in his power to prevent them from sending Patch away and that he didn’t want to give him up.

Nola was shocked when she spotted Patch sprinting for the restroom. She uttered:

He doesn’t like the restroom, so when I saw him in there, I jumped.

Patch’s feat of grabbing Nola’s wrist with his lips while without biting her was quite incredible. He then removed her from the tub. Nola was very interested to find out what was disturbing Patch to make him forget that her greatest dread was going to the restroom.

Nola exits the tub and dons her bathrobe after Patch bites her hand. She discovered the home on flames as she opened the door. She now understood Patch’s behavior as an attempt to entice her out of the bathtub.

Patch made sure Nola was immediately behind him as he pulled her out of the flaming home and checked to make sure she was still there so she wouldn’t be in any danger.

Nola was rescued by Patch after he escorted her through the smoke and flames of the home to the front yard. Nola was about to do something that would require Patch to save her again, thus this wasn’t the last of Patch’s heroics that day.
