He Adopted A Dog Without Knowing That It Was His Childhood Dog That He Had To Give Up

A puppy was posted for adoption on Facebook, and Pennsylvanian Nicole Renae noticed that the dog seemed eerily familiar. Nicole chose to adopt the 11-year-old dog after recalling her cherished childhood canine, Chloe.

Nicole, who was raised as an only child, occasionally felt lonely. But when she became 10 years old, everything was different. Nicole’s grandma gave her a cute little gray dog, which they called Chloe, for her birthday that year.

The two were symbiotic from the start.

To the BBC, Nicole stated:

“When I was ten years old, my only want was a dog. When Nana presented it to me, he had a pink ribbon on. We were close pals.

Nicole and Chloe became closer during the course of their four subsequent years together. The little puppy returned Nicole’s affection twofold for every ounce that she gave.

Nicole stated to The Dodo:

She was the most adorable tiny puppy. If you didn’t stop her, she would lick your face indefinitely.

A few years ago, Nicole’s grandma died away, and Nicole claims that seeing Chloe again has helped her family cope with their loss.

Nicole recalls the day she had to place Chloe for adoption and the anguish she felt at the time.

She uttered:

“I remember my dad bringing me up from school when he was 14 with the puppy in the backseat. He knew we had to give it away. My dad had a new job working from home, but Chloe was too noisy and he had to be on the phone all the time.

She uttered:

“We were left with no option. I clearly had no option because she was only a female. It was painful to see. My puppy was something I didn’t want to lose.

Nicole and her family decided to give Chloe to their local Humane Society since they had no other choice. Even though they had faith that the puppy would be adopted by a loving family, it was still difficult to say goodbye.

In her words:

“I was ill with sadness about it. I believed I would never witness or hear it once more.

Chloe was no longer a part of Nicole’s life, but she was always in her heart.
