Scared Homeless Puppy Loses 3 Pounds Of Fur And Gains A Little Hope

Eldad Hagar said that he “had no clue it was going to be this hard” when he received an emergency call about a stray dog. However, this was the point when things started to get a little better for the terrified stray dog named Benji.

Eldad is the creator of Hope for Paws in Los Angeles and has saved a large number of pets with Lisa Chiarelli’s help. The two fled to a section of Los Angeles where they discovered Benji, who was terrified and with matted hair.

“Benji ran as fast as he could when he noticed Lisa and I were staring at him.”

When Steve and Lisa eventually managed to grapple loop Benji, the small dog was so frightened that he bit his tongue when he attempted to flee.

Benji’s body was covered with fleas and ticks, and his skin was in bad shape. However, after some time, he gave Eldad permission to gently stroke him, which caused his look of terror to change.

Benji’s twisted fur had to be removed in the hospital, so they did.

Says Eldad

“I have never seen a grooming session last this long. Benji first protested, but after having half his body shaved, he was relieved and simply stood there to allow him to finish the job.

About being relieved, Benji was quite worried despite having over 3 pounds of fur removed from his body and face. Benji appeared to be a completely different dog after the wash, but it doesn’t change the fact that he was still anxious and frightened. Lisa then brought him over to her place so she could treat him well.

Benji’s rescuers weren’t even sure whether he had ever had a home, so his next task was to learn how to be a companion animal. His new buddies stepped in to support him in this situation.

Lisa’s pets and the dogs she fostered were essential in teaching her how to be a companion animal. Even sweets and toys were introduced to Benji.

Benji now has a large group of pals, and they frequently snap pictures together.
