Koala Saved From Forest Fires Keeps Snuggling With His Savior

Bill Blair saw something interesting while using his drone to take pictures of a scorched region in Australia after a series of bushfires. On Kangaroo Island, there was a little young koala curled up at the foot of a tree. He was afraid, lost, and in need of assistance.

When I first arrived, I was advised that if I saw a koala at the foot of a tree, it meant that there was nothing else for him to do and that he needed assistance. I was also instructed to cover him with a blanket or a shirt to calm him down.

So I put the koala on my shirt, lifted it up, and carried it back to the car while holding the drone in my other hand.

Even though the koala was terrified when Bill went to pick him up, he appeared to understand that Bill was there to save and assist him.

It was a marvel that the young koala had survived on his own because he was severely burnt on all four limbs.

Bill decided to take the koala to the temporary koala hospital that had been established on the island after transporting him to his car while still wearing his shirt.

The koala abruptly poked his head out of his shirt as Bill was driving, took a quick glance at him before peering out the window and exploring the car.

When he had calmed down enough, he approached me and, after spending some time climbing up the backs of the seats, sat down next to my shoulder on my back and cuddled up.

The koala stayed in the same spot for the whole of the journey, snuggled up next to Bill, and was incredibly appreciative of his saviour.

Bill gave the koala to the group in charge of giving him the treatment he needed to recuperate when they got to the hospital. However, Bill and the little koala were hesitant to part ways since they didn’t want to be apart from one another.

John said:

He didn’t want to leave me when I turned him over to the military physician, and I believe that he appeared relieved that I had discovered him.
