It’s about Max, a 12-year-old husky, and Quackers, a 4-year-old duck, who have made headlines and gone viral for their strange bond.

Max was adopted when he was just 5 years old, by Patrick and Kristen Riley, from a tiny town in Minnesota, United States.

He was a very friendly husky and he had his closest buddy, Sasha, another husky; Sasha finally passed away leaving friendly Max alone and unhappy.

Patrick and Kristen wanted to add a new member to the family to keep Max company, and they chose the most unexpected canine partner, Quackers the duck.

Patrick let them both go down Highway 28 one day, and they were inseparable from then on.

It’s worth noting that, with the family residing in Strout, a town of only 25 people, it’s rather safe to let pals walk freely on the streets. All of the neighbors are very respectful of the animals, especially Max and Quackers, because they are aware of their lovely and exceptional friendship.
