Rescuers Cover The Scars With Adorable Hats On A Pit Bull That Was Used As Bait

Some animals are unlucky in life and have abusive and terrible beginnings, such as this pit bull that was employed as a bait dog for dog fights. She was scarred to the point of losing her right ear when she was discovered by rescuers, who disguised her scars with attractive hats while she recovered.

Despite her difficult beginnings, this young girl named Abigail was full of love, and she found it for the first time in Victoria Frazier of Love Is Fur Ever Dog Rescue.

Victoria discovered Abigail’s photo at a Miami dog shelter and decided to pursue her and take her into her own shelter.

This brave little puppy had many operations and skin grafts. During her rehabilitation, Abigail had to wear hat-shaped bandages.

Victoria opted to dress up her outfit with some accessories.

As more people learned about Abigail’s tale, they began sending in homemade hats, headbands, and headbands for the lovely puppy.

Victoria nominated Abigail for the American Humane Association’s Hero Dog of the Year award. They made it to the final seven, and the money they raised was donated to Dogs on Deployment, an organization that seeks temporary homes for serving soldiers’ pets.

Abigail was voted Hero of the Year and was honored at a star-studded banquet in Beverly Hills; her tale now inspires many and she is a celebrity.
