Blind Cocker Spaniel Has Eye Surgery And Sees Her Family For The First Time

Olive, a blind cocker spaniel dog rescued by West Coast Cocker Rescue, an animal rescue group located in Vancouver, British Columbia (Canada), is overjoyed because he will be able to see his family for the first time following an eye operation.

Olive is a cocker spaniel puppy that walked aimlessly around the streets, unable to see what was going on around her. She was brought to a shelter in Los Angeles and then relocated to Vancouver, where she would meet her new family.

While residing in Canada, Holly and Bart Emmerson decided to adopt a dog, and while shopping for a puppy, they came upon the rescued blind canine.

Despite her sight handicap, her parents wanted to provide her with the greatest possible family life, so they adopted her and called her Olive.

Olive couldn’t see because she had severe cataracts in both eyes, but it didn’t stop her from being a joyful, lively, and devoted dog. However, her owners wondered whether there was anything they could do to help her blindness, so they went to an eye surgeon.

After evaluating her, the veterinarian offered them the excellent news that her sight may be restored through surgery.

So they took the doctor’s advise and arranged the operation, since everyone, especially Olive’s loving family, wanted her to be able to see again. The procedure was a total success, and Olive was able to walk out of the veterinarian office with her sight returned after three years of blindness.

When Holly and Bart received the joyful news, they raced to the veterinarian facility to meet Olive and appreciate her beautiful eyes.

The small puppy was overjoyed and awestruck as she glanced around her and was taken aback by all the things she adored. But it was the moment Olive saw her family that made Olive display all of her happiness.

The staff put the dog out when they got at the hospital, and the couple couldn’t stop crying when they saw her approaching them.

Olive was overjoyed to see the faces of her family for the first time, and the reunion became quite emotional for her. She couldn’t contain her joy and expressed it by wagging her tail madly and hugging them as if thanking them for everything.
