Shelter Dog Was Terrified Until He Found A Little Friend

Fraser was adopted by the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in the United Kingdom; his ears and tail had been shaved, giving him a threatening appearance, but his new pals quickly realized that the rough appearance he was given did not characterize his disposition. Everything scared the enormous dog.

Fraser had already been through a lot in his short life, and the shelter workers were aware that his anxiety would deter potential adopters. He was so terrified that he wouldn’t even go for a stroll outside his kennel.

Everyone was eager to assist him in any way they could, and someone had a brilliant suggestion.

A canine behaviorist for the charity, Elizabeth Kidd, had recently acquired a 6-month-old pug named Pancake and decided to introduce him to Fraser to help him relax. Pancake was picked for his confident and friendly demeanor.

Fraser was instantly relaxed when he met Pancake.

Elizabeth stated the following in a news release:

“Despite the fact that Pancake and Fraser didn’t seem like an obvious match, it was gratifying to watch how well they got along. Little Pancake taught Fraser how to be a fearless dog and how to be more self-assured.”

It’s strange how a small dog like Pancake was able to educate a huge dog like Fraser to be more confidence, but it all worked out beautifully. With time, the fearful dog’s brilliant personality emerged, and the dread faded away.

He didn’t appear confident enough to be adopted when he first came at the shelter, but due to Pancake, he’s now ready to find a permanent home.
