Woman Goes To A Shelter To Adopt A Dog And Ends Up Saving Three

Shelly Blount noticed an internet article about a puppy being killed at a shelter in North Carolina, so she phoned the shelter right away to attempt to save it. Fortunately, the puppy had recently been adopted, but it had made her worry about other pets who could be in danger.

Shelly inquired about other canines scheduled for death and was informed that a dog called Caleb was next on the list, so she hopped in her car and drove to his rescue.

The woman and her companion travelled four hours from Virginia to the shelter, hoping to save Caleb.

Shelly observed that two other canines were set to be killed when she arrived at the shelter. Despite the fact that she already had three rescue dogs at home, she knew what she had to do.

Shelly inquired about the amount of dogs she could adopt and was informed that there was no restriction, so she adopted all three.

She had gone to the shelter that day intending to go alone with Caleb, but instead found herself in the company of Caleb, Charisma, and Bella.

Shelly knew she had done the right thing when all three dogs couldn’t contain their joy on the way home.

She explained to The Dodo:

“Caleb was ecstatic — he continued kissing from the backseat and wagging his tail furiously. Bella was overjoyed to the point that she sat on my friend’s lap and didn’t move. Charisma, my precious little angel, was actually hugging me and slept the entire journey.

Shelly felt she couldn’t leave the three dogs at the shelter to be killed, even though she didn’t have a plan when she decided to adopt them. Ella Shelly didn’t have place for three more dogs at home, but happily, she found the greatest new homes for Caleb and Bella in just a few days.
