Man Takes His Paralyzed Dog For A Walk In A Cart Every Day

Caring for a special-needs dog is an act of love that transforms you into a better person.

Bryant Thompson was strolling around Dartmouth, Massachusetts, when he came upon a man walking his dog at Shubie Park.

This was not a typical stroll since it included something unique: the man carried his dog in a cart, covered in blankets to keep him warm. Bryant was drawn to a certain occurrence.

Bryant snapped some shots from a distance as the man was doing this with his pet dog.

Bryant couldn’t hold back his curiosity and struck up a conversation with the man, learning that the dog has ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as ‘Lou Gehrig’s disease,’ is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord) and is unable to walk on its own.

This illness usually affects older canines between the ages of 8 and 14.

The dog becomes unable to walk as a result of its inability to move its rear limbs.
