Loyal Dog Waits Three Months For His Owner Who Died In A Wuhan Hospital

The 7-year-old faithful tiny dog named ‘Xiao Bao’ (little treasure) that lived with an elderly man in Wuhan, China, has the most astounding demonstration of love and commitment. His father, an old man, was hospitalized and died in Taikang Hospital in Hubei Province as a result of the COVID-19 epidemic. Little Xiao Bao waited in the hospital lobby for his father for three months.

Unfortunately, the guy who was afflicted during the peak of the illness died 5 days after being brought to the hospital, and the dog has not left the area since then, expecting to meet him again.

According to the Daily Mail, the guy in charge of cleaning the hospital, Zhu Youzhen, 65, claims that the small puppy never left the hospital expecting to see his father again, who was one of the 3,869 people killed in the city by the dreadful sickness. The dog was waiting for him at this time. The hospital personnel was moved to take over his feeding.

Wuhan’s lockdown restrictions were relaxed in mid-April, and the hospital grocery reopened, with its manager, Wu Cuifen, seeing to the puppy’s needs.

According to Wu Cuifen:

“When I returned to work in mid-April, I first observed the dog. ‘Xiao Bao,’ I called him. That’s the name I gave him after learning that Xiao Bao’s owner, a senior, had been diagnosed with the coronavirus. He then died, but Xiao Bao was unaware and remained in the hospital seeking for him.”

Wu saw that the dog would not leave the hospital, even when they tried to take him away. Instead, the dog would return and wait patiently in the lobby for his loved one to return.

Ms. Wu related:

“He was never released from the hospital.” I got to know the dog and then brought him to the business since it was so sweet and loyal. Xiao Bao was waiting for me every morning when he opened. At the conclusion of each day, he said farewell to me».
