Shih Tzu Missing For Almost 8 Years Is Reunited With His Family

Roxy, a little puppy, went missing nearly eight years ago, and Magdalena Klubczuk gave up hope after a long search after she vanished from her garden in the spring of 2013 at the age of three.

Magdalena and her family live in Connah’s Quay, Flintshire (UK), according to the Daily Post. The woman claims she spent two weeks hunting for Roxy and even phoned many local veterinarians in the hopes of learning more about her location.

Magdalena assumed her dog had dead, and after a while, she accepted the possibility that her beloved Roxy would not return home.

Roxy, now 10, was found roaming aimlessly around the streets on New Year’s Eve about 11 p.m. and was transported to Skylor’s Animal Rescue in North Wales, UK.

Dawn Taylor, who manages the Dobshill rescue organization, examined the small Shih Tzu for an identity microchip and was able to quickly obtain Magdalena’s contact information. It was her long-lost Shih Tzu, she couldn’t believe it.

Magdalena commented:

“I informed them it was not feasible when I received the phone call. I was stunned when she said that she couldn’t even talk. She was really taken aback. I told him that wasn’t possible because my dog was on the couch next to me, but then I understood he was referring to Roxy!

Roxy spent the night at Skylor’s Animal Rescue, where she received food and a checkup to determine her health state; during the examination, Dawn revealed Roxy had a mammary tumor.
