Everyone Is Charmed With This ‘Humanlike’ Dog

People typically give a double take when they see Nori, a 1-year-old Australian shepherd-poodle mix. There’s a strong probability you’ll do the same.

Nori’s huge, almond-shaped eyes, focused look, and pink lips that curve slightly upward into a grin have something to do with it. Nori is frequently described as having a human-like face.

Nori’s mom, Tiffany Ngo, told The Dodo, “I think Nori’s coloration is what makes him appear human, especially his eyes.” “People believe his eyes give him a smart or profound appearance. He has a really expressive face, and while I’m painting my nails and he smells the nail polish, he makes a disgusted look.”

Nori was adopted by Ngo and her partner Kevin Hurless last year after they fell in love with his kind personality and, of course, his distinctive looks.

“When he was extremely small, he seemed a lot more humanlike, maybe because his fur was darker and his eyes were bright in comparison,” Ngo explained.

Ngo and Hurless, on the other hand, had no idea how much Nori’s appearance would draw notice.

People would literally stop us from across the street to come over and see Nori when he was a puppy, which Ngo found amusing. “He was like a fluffy little ball of fluff with a cheerful smile.”

Nori’s look has altered significantly as he has grown older, but you can still detect his human likeness when he stands next to his Shih Tzu mix dog brother, Boba.

Most people equate Nori’s appearance to that of a human, however Ngo and Hurless have overheard some bizarre remarks regarding Nori.

“At a dog park, I overheard someone say Nori looks like Fizzgig from ‘The Dark Crystal,'” Ngo added. “I believe Garth from ‘Wayne’s World’ is the funniest thing we’ve heard.” Someone has also inquired as to whether his hair is curly and highlighted, which it is not.”

Despite his human-like looks, Nori is simply a regular dog, according to Ngo.

“He is usually extremely fun and loves everyone he meets,” Ngo added. “He enjoys hanging out with his best friend Boba, watching sports with Kevin, and keeping an eye on me in the kitchen.”

“Nori enjoys water and mud as well,” Ngo added. “In the summer, he enjoys swimming in the pool, and in the fall and winter, he enjoys plopping his body into mud puddles.”

Nori and Boba have their own Instagram account, which Ngo manages, and the two are swiftly acquiring internet celebrity. Ngo is overjoyed that her pets provide so much joy to others.
