Jen approached Mason and he leaned into her hand as she stroked him. The kitten has shown from the start that he wants to survive and be loved. Jen drove him home, where he could begin his rehabilitation in a warm and welcoming environment.

Jen recalls:

“He was oily, congested, underweight, and timid when he came.” When he heard us approaching, he would hide and lean out until he felt sure he was safe. “However, once you’ve made that decision, you’re stuck with it like glue.”

Mason proved to be a really lovely cat when he was healing, and he was always searching for affection. He yearned to be touched and to be near his people. Jen would come over to snuggle up next to her as soon as she was on the couch.

Jen explains:

“Mason has discovered that being pampered is pretty much the nicest thing in the world, and he will drink up any cuddles (including tummy massages) for as long as you are willing to give them to him. He may appear to be a tough guy, but he is actually a loving, kind teddy bear that only wants to be loved and cared for.

Before being rescued, this kitten had a rough start, but he now has a loving and caring future ahead of him.

Mason’s adoptive mother had this to say about him:

“He has a strong exterior, yet he is one of the kindest cats I’ve ever encountered.” He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. He’s just a kid who has had to deal with adversity in order to live.

Mason’s coat has improved and is now silky and lustrous. The kitten has grown plump, mischievous, and inquisitive. He purrs with enthusiasm when he is nestled next to his people, and he is quite pleased when he is around them.
