Everyone Laughs At The Shelter Dog Because He Looks Like A “Hippopotamus,” Yet He Is Trying To Satisfy Someone

Every living creature requires the kind of love that makes us happy and cherished. A dog, of course, is no exception; they simply seek to be loved in exchange for their devotion and affection.

The most important issue is that individuals chose their future pets primarily on their beauty, opting to adopt the cutest puppy while passing over the less appealing canines.

Wally is a sweet dog who was quite frail when he came to the Islip City Animal Shelter on Long Island, New York. Everyone recognized he was dealing with a dog who had been through a lot in his life.

Wally, a nice ten-year-old, was described by shelter officials as “a sweet ten-year-old who had probably lived on the streets without knowing a genuine family.”

Wally only wanted someone to love him, and the shelter was happy to provide him all the care, attention, and affection he need.

When this puppy came, he was blind in one eye and suffering from a serious skin infection, among other health issues. Wally appeared to be a different dog at first impression.

His looks worried the rescue team, who feared it might frighten away potential adoptive families. They did not, however, give up hope of seeing the magnificent dog with whom they had instantly fallen in love.

Wally turned out to have a wonderful personality and became a favorite of the shelter staff.

“He adores drooling and will go to any length to obtain food. Danielle Gorle, a veterinary technician at the City of Islip Animal Shelter, stated, “He also likes to hang out and do nothing.”

Days passed as he sat in the shelter, pleading with someone to help him. He tried his hardest to be a good guy, but no one seemed to care for him.

“Wally is a fantastic dog, a cross between a walrus, a hippo, and a rhinoceros, who truly just needs an accepting home to spend his golden years!” said Jen, a shelter worker.

“It’s a touch mushy and a volunteer favorite.”

Despite the efforts of the shelter personnel, this lovable senior dog’s lifestyle was beginning to take its toll.

The worst part was that his self-esteem was beginning to suffer as a result of so much rejection. They had this to say about it:

‘He appears to be depressed.’ When he initially stepped in, he was in a better mood. “He enjoys himself while he is out, but he appears to be depressed in his kennel,” Danielle explained.

It was critical to find him a family that understood his medical needs, but other from that, all Wally wanted was a little love, and he was confident in his ability to repay it.

Unfortunately, only a few people were able to recognize the unfortunate dog’s inherent beauty. He had to wait a year for a place to live. Because it required to be the only pet and did not get along with other animals, in addition to not being widely appreciated because of its looks.
