Thanks To A Woman Who Adopted Him, A Little Pig With A 0% Life Expectancy Managed To Be Happy

When animals are born with a health issue that makes it difficult for them to live a normal life, some pet owners opt to euthanize them in order to relieve them of their suffering.

Along the path, however, certain angels come who, rather than believing in any diagnosis, are prepared to offer them a second chance and follow them for as long as they need.

Floppy is one of those animals born with a precarious health condition, the syndrome of shaking the head, a persistent and involuntary shaking that causes animals to pass away within days.

He couldn’t nurse, move, or do many things on his own, so veterinarians didn’t expect him to live long. The vet had never seen anything like that, therefore he suggested euthanasia to the family.

However, a woman appeared to alter the tiny pig’s fate. Chelsey Weaning, a West Virginia resident, became her devoted guardian. When her sister-in-law and husband were having trouble retaining the pig, she offered to drive him home and give him the care he needed.

Chelsey had no experience with pigs, but she was prepared to learn and care for him 24 hours a day. In this regard, he expressed his thoughts as follows:

“While my sister-in-law despised the thought of euthanasia, my husband and I were adamant about allowing this tiny pig to live, even if only for a short time.”

The young pig was bottle-fed every three hours in his new home. Chelsey’s main plan was to keep it for a week and then move it to a refuge after she had gained some independence. But, as time passed, he got fond of Floppy and chose to keep him for the rest of his life.

Chelsey had unwittingly adopted Floppy as a part of the family. He’d grown into a really cute, clever, and gregarious pig that enjoys sharing and having his belly massaged. Chelsey went on to say:

“She learnt to go up and down stairs, open doors, and she enjoys sandwiches, belly massages, and pool time.” Every day, we walk him on a leash. It’s one of a kind and unlike any other pig I’ve ever seen.”

Floppy has been a totally domestic pig for a year and a half since his birth.

She has formed a strong relationship with the rest of Chelsy’s animals, particularly Kona, a beautiful dog who has taken on the role of adoptive mother since the pig came at the house.

Despite the fact that Floppy is now considerably larger than the rest of his buddies, he still plays with them and takes naps. He enjoys spending the day with them outside.

Because the tale of this adorable little pig has gained a lot of attention on social media, his family decided to set up an Instagram and Facebook account for him, where you can keep up with all of his exploits.

“Floppy defied the odds and is living his greatest life because we just allowed him to be the pig he was born to be,” Chelsy explained.
