A Woman Plans To Sacrifice Her 31-Year-Old Horse Since It Is Blind, But Her Angel Intervenes

Buddy, a lovely 31-year-old horse who was about to be murdered by his former owner because he was blind and had little strength to survive. Fortunately, something in her made her reconsider, and she went to the Catskill Animal Sanctuary, where the horse was cared for and given every opportunity to enhance its quality of life.

Buddy’s health was poor when he came to the sanctuary, but with the help of the staff, he made a remarkable recovery. Kathy made the following points in this regard:

“Buddy’s owner, a woman who had owned him her entire life, contacted us. I wasn’t in the position to care for it like a blind animal, so I decided to sacrifice it.”

“This is a very regular occurrence: individuals don’t have the expertise or patience to care for these animals, or they don’t want to make the necessary changes to make their pastures or barns safer, or they just don’t realize that a blind animal can live.” a life that is immensely full and wonderful “They think euthanasia is the most compassionate choice,” Kathy explained.

Buddy came to the shelter in October of this year, and he has received companionship and therapy since then. The pony acclimated to its new surroundings with Kathy’s guidance.

They helped him activate his auditory component and enhance his orientation by doing repetitive tasks. After a few days, he was identifying changes in the landscape, when he was treading on the water, where his food was, and how to go inside the trailer.

“Working with him was really just a matter of using common sense to answer the question: What additional help do blind animals require in order to feel comfortable and secure?” Buddy is really intelligent! “I was astounded at how fast he picked up vocabulary like up, down, high, rough, water, and so on,” Kathy remarked.

The story of this cute and brave horse has gone viral and has already won the hearts of thousands of people all around the world.

The friendship that Buddy and Kathy have built in such a short time is also extremely amazing and heartwarming. In this regard, the woman expressed her thoughts as follows:

“Each animal is really unique. While most of us are only aware of this in the context of cats and dogs, it applies to all animals. “Every pig, chicken, blind horse, and cow, whatever of age, wants their lives to be the same as ours, and they, like our companion animals, require additional help to age with joy and dignity,” Kathy concluded.
