The Picture Of The Homeless Dog Hugging To His Teddy Bear Went Viral

A dog from Houston, Texas, was spotted on the street with a teddy bear he was clutching a few years ago, and the image moved thousands of people all over the world.

The shot was taken by Yvette Holzbach, who is also a volunteer with Forgotten Dogs of the 5th Ward, an animal rescue group.

The lady intended to take him to the shelter as soon as she saw the scenario, but it was full, there was no room, and when she returned to the site to seek for the dog, she couldn’t locate him anywhere.

“Oh, how sweet he is,” Yvette said on Facebook after seeing the dog sleeping down with the shredded and shattered plush toy. But then he thought to himself, “How tragic, an abandoned dog seeking solace in a worn-out plush toy.”

People who learned of the dog’s plight voiced their worry, and some commended this woman for paying care to that puppy who appeared to be shielded from loneliness only by his toy. Others, on the other hand, said she hadn’t taken him home.

Animal abandonment is a very sad and serious subject for Yvette, thus she expressed the following in response to the criticism:

“We can feed up to 50 stray dogs on a feeding route. We’ll be lucky if we can save one of those 50 dogs because the sad fact is that there aren’t enough foster homes to place them all.

Teddy was the puppy’s name, and throughout her search, Yvette came across an 89-year-old man who recognized Teddy in his photos. The man was in charge of feeding it, as well as a large number of other dogs.

Yvette expressed herself as follows:

“This was his dog, one of several that he had saved from the 5th District’s streets over the years.” He used to have as many as 20 in his backyard at one point.

Teddy had a habit of escaping from the yard, and one day he simply vanished. Yvette and this man became close friends despite the fact that they tried all they could to discover him.

Yvette and her group offered their services to spay and feed Mr. Calvis’s other animals, and two of them even underwent treatment for a delicate virus.

Mr. Calvin died in 2018, but his generosity to Houston canines will be remembered forever.

On the other hand, Yvette’s situation is representative of many other animal lovers who, due to a lack of resources, are unable to do everything they want in the face of these helpless beings. However, it is important to note that, while Teddy’s death is tragic, thanks to his photography, many other dogs have been able to receive assistance.
