The Furniture Store Always Makes Sure That The Dogs In The Neighborhood Have A Cozy Place To Sleep
Dr. Cem Baykal has driven past the same furniture business every day for the past six years on his way to work. And it’s tough to miss the two stray dogs sitting in front of his house whenever he walks by.
The two puppies are inseparable and are always together.
Istikbal Mobile is a home goods store that sells bedding, sofas, curtains, and mattresses. The proprietor has a soft spot for the neighborhood strays and has resolved to do something to improve their situation.
Baykal told The Dodo, “The proprietor of this shop puts one of the mattresses (with a plastic cover on it) in front of the shop.” “This bed may be one of the arriving ones or it could be the one they sell that day.”
“They don’t put the bed on its side; they leave it flat, and these two stray dogs always lay and sleep there,” Baykal explained. “During the winter, the shop gives a bed on a daily basis. In the heat, they provide them with shade and water.”
The strays no longer have to seek shelter on the cold cement walkways thanks to the business owner. The dogs are well-known in the neighborhood and rely on neighbors for care, but one store goes a step further.
“This street is recognized as a wealthy area, and everyone offers food or water to the neighborhood dogs and cats, but no one generally provides them with decent bedding,” Baykal explained. “Yes, this store does.”

Baykal recently came by the business to check on the stray dogs and discovered that, despite the bad weather, they were doing fine.
“We had tremendous rain in Istanbul this morning, and I saluted my friends on my way to the hospital early in the morning,” Baykal said. “The store was shuttered, but the bedding remained. The snoozer was still sleeping, but his companion was up and escorted me to the pedestrian crossing to ensure my safety.”
It appears that the puppies wish to repay the kindness.
