Pitbull iIs Always Checking Up On His New Baby Sister To See That She Is Doing Well

Kevin Smith and his wife named their pit dog Ellie after rescuing her. They say she was terrified and couldn’t move, and that she seemed to be more nervous of men, but Kevin didn’t give up and persevered.

Kevin worked hard to make Ellie trust him, and he always gave her a lot of love and patience. He was certain that his efforts would pay off, and she would eventually trust him. Until one day, his efforts were repaid.

According to Kevin, who spoke to The Dodo,

“At first, I was concerned because she was afraid to leave the ground. She was frozen to the ground and clearly had a difficult time. She now demands that everyone love and care for her. She is asking for attention.

For a full year, Ellie was surrounded by her adoptive parents’ affection. The couple weren’t sure how Kevin’s wife’s pregnancy would impact their dog at first, but as the months passed and her mother’s tummy grew larger, Ellie looked excited to meet her new baby sister.

Kevin recalls:

Ellie used to rest her head on my wife’s stomach and listen to her when she was getting near to her due date. It was mostly a night event.

When it came time to meet the baby, Ellie fell in love with Peytyn and wanted to be with her at all times. He seemed to have been waiting for that moment for a long time.

Kevin describes:

“We put Peytyn in the bedroom, and Ellie is normally happy to see us, but she pushed us away and went right to Peytyn.”

While her parents care to other housework, the four-legged nanny ensures that her new baby sister is as comfortable as possible. The safest thing to see on the baby monitor is Ellie close by, making sure everything is okay; it seems to be the little girl’s shadow.

The family thinks Ellie’s care for the child is wonderful, and she clearly likes her. Kevin stated, ”

“Ellie will follow Peytyn everywhere she goes. When you take Peytyn to the changing table, Ellie is there, checking on her baby… She simply sits and stares at you. She follows you when you pick her up to transfer her.
